The Work of Responsibility
For a Still Functioning + Advocate and Witness series page, I’d frame it around responsibility, professional life, conscience, and carrying what must be carried:
The Responsibility Works brings together William G. Boundroukas’s practical and reflective books about work, pressure, conscience, duty, and the responsibility of continuing when people depend on you.
The Still Functioning books focus on staying clear and stable when life is demanding, energy is limited, and responsibilities do not disappear simply because you are tired. They are practical books for people who are still working, parenting, managing, caregiving, and carrying more than most people see.
Advocate and Witness approaches responsibility from another direction: the professional life. Through the lens of law, faith, conscience, and experience, it asks what happens when the question is no longer simply, “Can I do this?” but “Should I?”
Together, these books are about the obligations we accept, the burdens that actually belong to us, and the choices we make when there is no audience and no easy answer.
They are not about perfection.
They are about clarity, responsibility, conscience, and continuing to do the work well.
